A free collectible creature card game that you play right in your browser, on phone or computer. Build your deck, evolve your creatures and take on other players in the Arena.
Real-time battles
There are no turns in HOSS. Every battle is played in five-second rounds during which all creatures fight at the same time, each at its own pace: an Assassin strikes fast, a Warrior strikes hard, a Defender protects its allies by intercepting blows. Between rounds you play a new card, pick an evolution path for one of your creatures or move your Defender. Everything is decided in a few seconds, and a battle rarely lasts more than a few minutes.
Every hit counts: dodge, block, critical hits, poison, bleed, burn, freeze, shock… Fire, Ice, Lightning and Poison creatures apply markers that can turn a battle around. An Ice Mage can slow an enemy Warrior until it freezes solid, and a Sylvan Defender can send an arrow straight back at the enemy.
Four races, seven classes
Skeletons
Immune to poison and bleed, they dodge some of the arrows and spears thrown at them. They dominate the Sylvans but fear the Humans.
Orcs
Huge blows and bleeding wounds. They resist the Humans, but the Sylvans are their weak spot.
Sylvans
They heal their allies, deflect blows and wear their enemies down. Deadly against Orcs, fragile against Skeletons.
Humans
They break armor and protect their allies. They stand up to the Skeletons but fear the Orcs.
Each race comes in seven classes: Warrior, Knight, Lancer, Assassin, Archer, Mage and Defender. Every class has strengths and weaknesses against the others: the Lancer pierces Knights, the Assassin dodges Warriors, the Defender blocks arrows. In total there are 88 creatures and 12 buffs, all detailed in the card guide (in French).
Evolve your creatures
Your deck is built in six lines. Each line starts with a Rank 1 creature that can evolve during battle into a Rank 2, then into a Master. Its chance to evolve depends on the quality of your card: the rarer it is and the more stars it has, the faster it evolves. Some creatures have two evolution paths, and you choose the best one against your current opponent.
Collect, fuse, progress
Cards come from boosters bought with the gold you earn in battle. Every copy has its own rarity (Basic, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Divine), from zero to five stars, and can even be holographic — one card in two hundred thousand. Fuse your duplicates to gain stars, sell what you don't need, and climb the nine combat ranks against the AI, from Rank 1 up to Max Rank.
The Arena and the raffle
From Rank 5, the Arena opens: you register two decks for the week, you attack other players' decks and yours defend themselves even while you're offline. Every Sunday at midnight, the top of the leaderboard is rewarded. And every evening at 8 pm (Paris time), the raffle draws the winners of the day's pot.
